When I lived in the UK, I discovered an alternative meaning for the word “gobble”. It had absolutely nothing to do with tasty birds and everything to do with cocksucking. And any time I uttered it, it set off a round of Beavis-and-Butthead snickering by full-grown men.
Now, at the time, I hadn’t discovered the joys of female dominance and all that it encompasses, but this reaction to the word “gobble” eventually got on my nerves. My secret inner humiliatrix came charging out one day with, “You Brits have a ton of words for wanking, right? I’d even call it a national obsession, and you freely admit you do it all the time. Well it sure looks like you have an awful lot of ways to say ‘cocksucking’, I guess that means you do that all the time too.”
There was a brief moment of shocked silence, followed by laughter and: “Ah, Claire, it only took you three months to become one of us, not bad. Cheers to all of the secret gobblers amongst us, because she makes a good point!”
Oddly, the guys in my circle felt the urge to confide such things in the aftermath. I know I’ve said this before…I never have to go looking for kink, kink always finds me first!
